Recreational Marijuana Legalized by NJ Voters

April 2, 2021 - Recreational marijuana is finally legal in the Ganja State! In February Governor. Phil Murphy signed three new laws effectively legalizing weed for personal use.

Although, it looks like peeps won’t be able to walk into a recreational marijuana dispensary and buy weed in NJ until 2022. It won't be legal to buy or sell recreational marijuana until regulations are written by state officials and licenses to businesses are awarded.

Current medical marijuana dispensaries, which already have the infrastructure in place, may be able to begin recreational sales earlier as long as they can meet the demands of their patients first.

It is now no longer a crime to possess up to six ounces of weed — as well as up to 17 ounces of hashish. It has also been decriminalized for use on private property if you are 21 or older. Arrests for those offenses should have stopped as soon as Murphy signed the laws in February.

We are getting closer and closer....
