Recreational Marijuana Legalized by NJ Voters

Recreational marijuana is finally legal in the Ganja State! In February Governor. Phil Murphy signed three new laws effectively legalizing weed for personal use.  Although, it looks like peeps won’t be able to walk into a recreational marijuana dispensary and buy weed in NJ until 2022. It won't be legal to buy or sell recreational marijuana until regulations are written by state officials and licenses to businesses are awarded.

Gov. Murphy Blows Fresh Puff Of Smoke Into Recreational Legalization in NJ...

August 8, 2019 - New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced he would like to take one more shot at getting a bill passed that would legalize marijuana in New Jersey. He has the support of the states most powerful lawmaker, Senate President Stephen Sweeney. They are targeting the time between November and January to get the needed support.  Gov. Murphy made the legalization of NJ weed one of his primary campaign promises.

NJ Expanding Medical Marijuana to Open the Door for Recreational Legalization...

July 16, 2019 - New Jersey Medical Marijuana Programs are being expanded to help pave the way for eventually making recreational weed legal in NJ. Currently there are 6 dispensaries in New Jersey with plans to open another 6. Lawmakers are also looking to increase the amount of NJ medical marijuana a patient would be allowed to purchase in a month from 2 ounces up to 3 ounces.  Lawmakers will continue to look for ways to beef up medical marijuana in the state while trying to accumulate votes to pass a bill for full legalization.
